Aftercare
Advice

Proper aftercare is essential to ensure your tattoo heals beautifully and lasts for years to come. Keep your tattoo clean, moisturized, and protected from direct sunlight. Avoid swimming, soaking, or scratching during the healing process. Always follow the care instructions provided by your artist to prevent infection and maintain the vibrancy of your ink.

Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

Day 1 - Immediately After Your Session

1. Leave the bandage or wrap on for the time recommended (usually 2-4 hours).

2. Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo.

3. Gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap.

4. Pat dry with a clean paper towel - never rub.

5. Apply a thin layer of recommended tattoo ointment or fragrance-free lotion.

Day 2-7 - Early Healing

• Wash your tattoo 1-2 times a day with mild soap and lukewarm water.

• Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment or lotion after each wash.

• Avoid direct sunlight, swimming, or soaking in baths.

• Expect light scabbing or peeling - do not pick or scratch.

Weeks 2-4 - Ongoing Care

• Keep moisturizing to prevent dryness and flaking.

• Your tattoo may appear slightly dull until fully healed - this is normal.

• Avoid tight or abrasive clothing over the area.

• Continue to protect it from the sun.

Long-Term Care

• Always use SPF 30+ when your tattoo is exposed to sunlight.

• Stay hydrated and keep skin moisturized to maintain vibrancy.

• For touch-ups, contact your artist once healing is complete.
